 by the Merced River. The park has many trees and is home to various wildli
 fe\, especially birds. Swimming\, fishing and picnicking are popular activ
 ities.\n\nI have looked into the fishing prospects. There are fishing oppo
 rtunities under typical flows and I will bring fishing gear. According to 
 the nearest flow gage I could find\, there is little to no flow in this se
 ction of river due to the ongoing drought conditions. By September the riv
 er may be dry in this reach. Crossing my fingers that something changes.\n
