Saratoga library\, Holiday Baskets for low income families.  The Club was
founded in 1907 as a study club to broaden their education and discuss co
mmunity concerns\, members of the Saratoga Foothill Club continue their f
ocus on civic and social issues and cultural topics. A popular Art Lectu
re series for community and club members presented by a university art h
istorian provides in-depth exploration of the visual arts and artistic mo
vements. The Public Lecture Series focuses on community concerns and pr
esents performing artists. Many members are active in the local community
and county serving as elected officials on school boards\, city councils
\, or city and county commissions and nonprofit boards. Currently close t
o 15% of the members have been active for more than 25 years.\n\nAbout th
e Julia Morgan: Julia Morgan was an American architect and engineer. She d
esigned more than 700 buildings in California during a long and prolific c

ncisco Bay Area during the first half of the 20th century and is known for
her significant contribution to the development of the Bay Area Tradition
